 Steve embarked on restoring an old and very valuable statue on our lot of our lady. Another contractor previously looked at it and we were told it could not be restored. Thru his knowledge of compounds and paints, Steve was able to repair and paint the statue. It looks beautiful and we are thrilled that our statue that is so sentimental to the people of St. Roch was saved and will adorn our prayer garden for many years to come. Stephen Kelly, owner of Kellstar Painting has been working at our house durring the months of April and May of 2009.We have a large Victorian and equally large two story addition with a deck, a two story garage and a garden shed wich were in dire need of painting. We have seen his completed work at several places in Oxford. He came highly recomended from a friend. Steve has the ability to work with the homeowner choosing colors and placement of the on the house. He will discuss his idea's with you and also takes your idea;s into the planning. He is very easy to work with. Steve is also very knwledgeable about painting techniques and period colors and how they work well together. Steve keeps intouch with the client and lets them know when he will be at their property. Before any work was done, the buildings were powerwashed and repairs were made where needed. he primed and caulked all needed areas first. Steve is hand painting, not spraying two coats of paint. Our house has wooden shakes and this is the correct way to mdo this work. It may take another month before all work is completed. The total cost of the job is over $10,000.00.
